The Seven Deadly Sins
Details
Genre: Satirical Comedy - because why take life too seriously?
Age: Suitable for ages 16 to 99
In a Nutshell
A hipster God finds himself catapulted into a rollicking adventure that is divinely absurd and irresistibly comic, starting from a Call Center in an attempt to save creation and his own skin from the homicidal intentions of atheist cardinals, envious scientists, and the incomprehensible world of work.
What It's About
Think dystopian-ontological comedy is your jam? Perfect if you're a fan of Terry Pratchett's humor, Christopher Moore's irreverence, and Douglas Adams's borderline-realistic adventures. This novel will drag you into a contemporary odyssey where humor dances with philosophy, and religious dogmas get a good shake-up in a world that's absurd yet startlingly close to our own reality. It's like a rollercoaster through the funhouse of existential angst.
Synopsis
IT consultant Tony Munafò lives in a world of strange mammals, the homo sapiens sapiens, who have carried a programming bug from the time of the Big Bang. This bug makes them clumsy in managing the basic behavioral parameter, freedom, which in turn has caused seven other bugs: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth, better known as the seven deadly sins. There are only seven days left to reprogram Reboot, the complex software used by God to create and manage the world, otherwise creation will undergo a reset. In one week, not only Tony's work and romantic fate are at stake, but also that of all his bizarre and unlikely counterparts, on the brink of extinction... unbeknownst to them.
